Country music star Trace Adkins almost lost his 6-year-old daughter Brianna, who, at only 9 months, suffered a severe food allergy reaction after licking a peanut butter lid.

"There didn't seem to be any peanut butter on it, but the reaction was almost immediate," he says in Redbook's June issue of Brianna's near-fatal allergic reaction. "She began to swell up, to where she was almost unrecognizable ... Just from the protein on the lid."

One of the most memorable moments during Trace Adkins’ run on "The Celebrity Apprentice" came when he was put in charge of a charity concert featuring the Backstreet Boys, who demanded wheatgrass and black fingernail polish be provided in their dressing room. Trace was stunned by the request: He had never even heard of wheatgrass.

Concert promoters took notice, and when he plays concerts now, Trace often discovers the dressing room has been stocked with wheatgrass and black fingernail polish.
