In addition to being a platinum-selling country artist, TRACE ADKINS has been a reality TV star, a best-selling author, and an actor. Now, he's becoming a comic book action hero. On Wednesday, November 11, 12 Gauge Comics will release LUKE McBAIN #1, the first in an original four-part comic book series. Subsequent issues will be hitting comic book stores monthly through February 2010.
The title character, Luke McBain was inspired by Adkins' likeness and persona and developed after popular comic book writer David Tischman ("Red Herring," "Greatest Hits") and 12 Gauge publisher, Keven Gardner spent time with Adkins to make the role more authentic.

Country Weekly Magazine readers have once again chosen Trace as “Country’s Sexiest Man” for the second year in a row! The magazine writes, “Trace embodies the true spirit of the male country star, with a deep, husky voice that can belt out a rough-edged working song as well as a tender romantic ballad.” Votes were submitted from readers through mail-in ballots as well as online at countryweekly.com. The October 19th issue is on stands now.
Trace has teamed up with long-time friend, Blake Shelton for Shelton’s new single, “Hillbilly Bone.” Shelton said the first time he heard the song, he knew it was one of those songs that would kick the door down and thought, “Who better to kick that door down with than my good buddy Trace. It’s one of those songs you can’t get out of your head and for Trace and I both, it made sense since we are pretty much ‘Hillbilly’ to the core.” Fans can now stream the song exclusively for the next two weeks at blakeshelton.com. The single will hit country radio November 2, and the music video will be available November 3.

On his tour bus en route to St. Louis, Mo., country singer Trace Adkins said he was surprised by the success of his tour with fellow country star Toby Keith.
"It's really been good. I'd been thinking for a long, long time that it would make a lot of sense for Toby and I to tour together and I don't know why it took us so long to do it, but it's just been great," Adkins said. "And the crowds this year — it's been packed everywhere we've been and, neither one of us expected that this year, given the economy and the way things are, we just didn't think that we were gonna have that kind of turnout. But I think we both kinda realized that people just want a break. They wanna go to a show and just lose their minds for a couple of hours."

You have to wait three minutes. That's when the people in the new Trace Adkins video start smiling, and I start crying.
I don't know if it's his rich baritone or the lyrics coming to life but almost every video Adkins makes has a way of bringing me to tears. Not just eyes-well-up-with-tears tears. But rolling-down-my-face-gasping-for-breath tears. "All I Ask for Anymore" is no exception.
The suspense the video creates doesn't help. Because for the first few minutes, all you see are anxious people. Women, men, children.
